The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) at the Campus Terra (Lugo) will host the launch of the DESP-OB Network on Tuesday, September 2. The first meeting of the team of researchers will be preceded by a public and open program in the Salón de Grados. Following the institutional welcome (9:30 a.m.), with contributions from the Dean of the Faculty, the Vice President of the Lugo Provincial Council, and the Director of IDEGA and coordinator of the network, the project participants will present their research centers and lines of work (10:00 a.m.). Finally, María José Piñeira, Associate Professor of Geography at USC, will deliver a lecture (11:00 a.m.) on “Depopulation and Settlement Decline in the National Atlas of Spain.” All activities are free of charge until capacity is reached.
