Luis Antonio Sáez Pérez

Luis Antonio Sáez-Pérez holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Zaragoza (1995) and is an Associate Professor of Applied Economics. He is a research associate and director of CEDDAR (Center for Studies on Depopulation and Development of Rural Areas). He has served as editor of e-pública and Ager. Journal of Depopulation and Rural Development Studies.

His research interests focus on cultural economics, rural development, and depopulation. He has acted as an advisor to public institutions, political parties, and social organizations on policies related to rural development and depopulation.

He has published his research in books and in journals such as Journal of Rural Studies, Applied Geography, Population, Space and Place, European Countryside, Energy Economics, and Ager. He held the DPZ Chair on Depopulation and Creativity at the University of Zaragoza from 2017 to 2021. Journal of Rural Studies, Applied Geography, Population, Space and Place, European Countryside, Energy Economics y Ager. Entre 2017 y 2021 fue titular de la Cátedra DPZ sobre Despoblación y Creatividad en la Universidad de Zaragoza.
